National Sports Association (NSA) for the sport of Cheer in Singapore
Cheerleading Association (Singapore) (CAS) is the first non-profit organization dedicated to serving the cheerleading community. Constituted in 2003, CAS is registered with the Registries of Societies and is the National Governing Body (NGB) for the sport of cheerleading under the International Cheer Union (ICU). The mission of CAS is to promote, develop and safeguard the sport of cheerleading in Singapore.
CAS has supported Singapore Sports Council (SSC) in piloting the project for National Cheerleading Championship (known as “Cheerobics”) since 2004 and has taken over the organising of the event from 2007 to 2009. In 2013, CAS has also recently organized the 1st CAS National Cheerleading Championships and the 3rd Southeast Asia Cheerleading Open (SEACO), which experienced a record breaking of over 600 athletes and 1500 spectators on the competition day.
